Ok guys and gals, here's a question for you. I'm working on an application and there is a question on how I use critical thinking to solve problems in everyday life. I am finished with the rest of the application except for this question because I have no idea how to answer it. Do you have any suggestions? Just something to get me pointed in the right direction.

This is what I thought I could use. I am an aerobics instructor and one of my participants got a severe pain in here foot one day during step class. I had to figure out what the probable cause of the pain was and if the participant could continue with the rest of class. Is that what the question is looking for or am I going in a completely wrong direction?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Here's a starter:

Critical thinking is "the ability to acquire information, analyze and evaluate it, and reach a conclusion or answer by using logic and reasoning skills." Through this definition, it is evident that we utilize critical thinking daily, whether we are aware of it or not.

Now that I started you off, just think of a situation that you acquire, analyze, and evaluate information to reach a conclusion.

Your example is fine... try to think of others too. Good luck!

So by the definition it could be something like figuring out what to wear in the morning or deciding where would be a good spot to park on the side streets around campus. Do you think the school is looking for something simple like that or something more complex?

key word: critical thinking=logic thought, i.e. you are able to indentify problems then recommend a solution.
With my career, I need to find what the probable cause of the pain on her foot was so other student can avoid it.
The next clause: "if the participant could continue with the rest of class" tells how bad the pain is. You don't need to test it.

Simplicity is always the way to go... don't make up something hardcore if it doesn't make sense.
