On the JKC site it says they'll mail out results mid-month, so probably a couple of weeks to wait yet. 🙂 I wonder if they'll put up the names of the scholars online before then? The Undergrad Scholar names were put up last month. Good luck to everyone waiting to find out -- would be cool if a dental student got one, eh? 😀

Yeah, I am waiting too! I wonder how they choose the scholars....??? Do you really think that they read all of those essays?

yea they read them....thats basically what its based on
at least i hope they read them...i spent so much time on the essays

I just read an article about the scholarships that were granted to the undergraduate transfer students. It said that 47 of the students were international students. Do you know if this scholarship is geared toward helping international students? I just wondered.

on my undergrad main page it says that a student has received the scholarship for some grad school, which means the winners have been notified

The names have been up for about a week now. Look under Our Scholars, 2007, graduate. They only gave out 34 this year

damn, ouch, i def didn't get it, did anyone on here win it? i put a lot of time into those essays too

I received a letter a few days ago that said that they had received over 977 applications and that I was not one of the 34 selected. I called and asked how exactly they had selected the winners and the lady told me that financial need played a huge role this year and therefore a lot of international students received the scholarship because many did not qualify for government student loans. Just thought I would let everyone know.
