Just curious, did anyone apply for the JKC scholarship this year? They are supposed to announce their winners this month.
 
I got through institutional screening and all and got my rejection last week. I just don't think my family is poor enough, they're really pushing for the neediest of the neediest.

I didn't get selected at my school either.

I was curious as to how the institutions treated the balance between neediness and academic/personal achievements.

I'm not sure. I feel I have substantial need, definitely, but my GPA was just at the cut-off. Of the 12 applicants, two completed the application. I was third on the list so I think if my GPA was higher I may have been applying at the national level. I don't know though, the selection criteria isn't released to us.
