What do you think about this article? I'm presenting my journal club on it tomorrow morning. I found weaknesses in the study.
1) Power (beta error) was nowhere to be found
2) How were subjects recruited?
3) Externaly validity - way more males than females, way too many Hispanics. It's not indicative of the general population.
4) No food diary. Food was supplied, but how much did they eat. Caloric restriction can reduce glutathione stores.
5) What about vomiting or diarrhea? This can also reduce glutathione.
