When is the latest you can apply for the jamp program? I read a sophmore is what they want, but can you apply as a junior if you maybe do a post bacc at the university or something?

From http://www.utsystem.edu/jamp/students/criteria-guidelines.htm:
Criteria for Acceptance into JAMP

  • Entrance to an institution of higher education must be not later than the first fall semester following graduation from high school or a home-schooled program. Exceptions to this criterion may be granted on a case by case base for unusual circumstances such as individuals who enter the armed services immediately upon graduation from high school.
  • Twenty seven (27) semester hours of undergraduate credit must be completed after graduation from high school during the student's freshman year at an institution of higher education (no more than three semester hours of AP credit can be counted towards the 27 hour requirement). The Council defines the freshman year as the first year of full time enrollment in an institution of higher education after graduation from high school.
  • Be enrolled at a general academic teaching institution or the private or independent institution of higher education at the time of application to the program.
  • Apply for admission to the program not later than the student's sophomore year while enrolled at the general academic teaching institution or the private or independent institution of higher education. The Council defines the sophomore year as the second year of full time enrollment in an institution of higher education after graduation from high school.

tl;dr: You cannot apply after your Sophmore year.
