Is anyone here going to take the MCAT on the first administration of the new test? I want to take it in Jan but I'm a little worried that the test prep stuff that 's available (even classes like Kaplan) aren't really going to be able to teach to the new test since its the first time its given (in the new shorter format). Is anyone else having reservations about taking the first test? It would be nice to get scores back in Feb/early MArch though.

as far as prepping for the new test, from what i've read it seems the content is going to be the same. since they are just going to use fewer questions but the content is the same i dont think you'll have any problems using the current mcat prep materials to help you get ready for the exam. :luck:

I think the main difficulty in preparing for the new exam will be finding practice exams that are the right length (shorter sections and less questions).

However, I guess preparing for a longer exam, rather than the actual one, won't hurt all that much.
