Jan 09 MCAT applicable to upcoming (matriculating 2012) application cycle ?

Yeah, from looks of it, most schools will be fine. I'm in 2 years and 7 months when I apply. But some schools require the exam to be taken in the 2 years prior. Not sure which schools those are.

If you apply this June for the matriculating class of 2012, are you a 2011 applicant or 2012 applicant?

varies by school actually. some want the scores to be no older than three years at matriculation.

make your school list, get on the Intarwebs and do the research.

It depends on the school, but for most schools your MCAT will still be acceptable.

However, check the MSAR for full details before you apply to avoid surprises, since there are a few schools (ex: Columbia, UVA) that list dates after January 2009 as their oldest MCAT accepted for this cycle (matriculation in 2012).

Definitely.

Some just list "2009" as the oldest acceptable date, others, like MCW, will say something like "September 2009", and will not budge at all. MSAR is the best money saving tool ever.

Has anyone heard of schools waiving this requirement for test scores that are a few months out of date? My top choice cuts off at September 2009, and my test was April 2009. Kinda freaking out about it right now.:scared:
