Hi! Just want to know how everyone’s doing? I want to know if you’re still reviewing npte stuff for tomorrow or just resting. I keep seeing that you need to rest today but I feel guilty not doing anything.

How did the exam go for you?
I thought there were a lot of gimme questions but also some complete guesses on my part.

Agreed, there were quite a few questions that were simple "either you know it or you don't" so it was difficult to predict how I did. Just eager at this point to find out!!

How you guys doing? Are we supposed to hear about the results tomorrow? Everyday I get more and more anxious...

they say results will be out later today to tomorrow. It’s like i don’t wanna see it yet but I want this to get over with im anxious

Test was no gimme. Felt exhausted and confused after. Not sure how I made the drive home really.
Passed in a California!

Passed in Washington too! I can’t believe it so surreal. I was almost sure I failed that exam when I clicked submit for my last section

Would you all mind posting your practice test scores? I’m taking it in April!

Hi,
I failed in July and in October 2019, both by 5 questions. It was obviously embarrassing to get over but each time I swallowed my pride and got back to it. I actually feel that I did too much and burnt myself out and that on top of my nerves and already terrible test taking skills really didn’t help my case.

Before July, I took the final frontier NPTE course which was great (mostly followed therapy Ed and O’Sullivan), but then I took their 2 practice tests, 3 SB tests, 3 therapy Ed tests, and 2 PEATS. Failed. Second time around, I didn’t really change much besides I made about 600 flash cards thinking that may be the difference? Failed. Third time, I asked my friends from class to let me just talk at them basically, took 2 SB online advantage tests (scores 72%, 81%), and I very strategically skimmed through SB book using their basecamp. This made all the difference and it was a bit strange having to gather up the courage to talk to my friends from class about it but I’m glad I did. I also realized that SB was the better book for me the entire time.

Sorry for the long response, but the point is I finally PASSED this January and knew I did while going through my 5th section of the test. I was way more confident and knew that I knew my stuff. (And it was very nice to beat the fsbpt stats on “very little chance of passing after 2nd attempt”).

As far as my test scores, there are way too many to look up but all my SB and Therapy Ed were from 70-75%. Practice PEAT 630, Retired 598. (This was from first attempt). I retook everything 2nd time around and I was getting over 90% on everything.

You'll be alright! Maintain a level of intensity when you are studying. Don't study for too long in on sitting, I did my study sessions in 3-4 hour spurts. The absolute best thing to do is to study the concepts from your incorrect answers on each practice test. Go over why each of the other options are wrong. If you cannot formulate a sentence as to why an option is incorrect, go over it in more detail. Otherwise, reading the review book is not the best use of your time, not to mention the fact that you'll only remember minimal portions of it. During the last 2 weeks, study with other people so that you can bounce off ideas and concepts to one another and help generate an alternate perspective on certain concepts that may have been obscure to you. Talking it out truly helps.
