I'm sorry if this post is a little off-topic for some of you, but I have some questions and I think this is the best place to get some information.

I've been experiencing some jaw clicking for about a month now. It is not painful at all, no other real problems (no headaches, facial pain, etc.), but the constant clicking noise when chewing is real aggravating. After doing some brief research, it looks like I could have some form of a TMJD.

Personally, I think what is causing this is that I grind my teeth when I sleep, but obviously I am not sure. My first question is does anyone think that this is a very urgent problem? Should I go to the dentist immediately? I am in the process of adding Dental Insurance to my health care plan, so ideally, I'd like to wait until that happens before I go in for an appointment.

This may be another random question, but does anyone have an idea as to how much a specialized mouthguard or bite plate would cost? Thank you all so very much. I've been a little worried about this, so I'm just trying to get as much info as possible.
