is it just me or did anyone else notice that jefferson has a phone option that says "to request an interview, please push..." I was wondering if anyone has done that yet or do you have to wait for some type of signal before you can do that?

I've been complete with jefferson since 11/8 and haven't heard anything from them yet... maybe I'll give the phone call a try

I requested an interview at Jeff bc I was going to be in the area visiting my family. I got a very prompt response from the dean saying they couldn't entertain my request (no available interview days during my visit), but would I be willing to come back another time? I replied, yes, I would be happy to, and 2 weeks later got an official invite.

So yes, you can request...I don't know if you need to have some special reason, though.

Damn! I've been waiting months for an interview invite for months and all I had to do was call and ask????

Seriously, that is probably for people who will be in Philly interviewing at another school. But I am curious to find out ...

Wow, it's really that simple? I'm disappointed in myself for not taking advantage of this after I called Jefferson in November. I assumed the interview request option was for people who had an interview invite from another school in Philly.

I really can't believe it would be that easy...I also thought that the option was for people visiting the city for other interviews. In a thread that was posted last year around January, a girl said that she called and requested an interview but I don't think she heard back. Who knows...if anyone has done this without having another interview in Philly let us know!

No its not "really that simple". The "request an interview" option is def. for special circumstances or something. Like somebody mentioned, Jeff is a high-volume app school like GW and BU....they def. pick out who they want.

I tried this back in November, when I knew I would be visiting Philly in early December for another interview. I figured 3 weeks was a fair amount of time to try to arrange something like this, given that I'd been complete at Jefferson at least a month already. I left a message, like it says to do, then gave them the x amount of days it says a decision might take. Hadn't heard back, so I called the next week and this time talked to a really nice, helpful guy who took all my information and said he'd call me back. Never heard back. Called again the following week, now about a week from when I would be traveling, and spoke to another person in the admissions office who told me that since I was requesting on such short notice (1 week) they likely wouldn't be able to accommodate my request. Was told they'd get back to me. They didn't. I finally figured out that this was their way of telling me no, but I wish someone would have just said that upfront. Booo.

Hey ICC. I noticed on your mdapps page that you have interviews at both Drexel and Temple after not hearing from them for months. Did you send them an update of any sort or did they just finally get back to you?

Hey, I didn't send them updates whatsoever. I sent them an email maybe way back in November just asking if they had reviewed my file and of course, I got the typical response (check the status page).

I guess they just finally got around to getting back to me. I was probably not a high priority applicant which is why they waited so long. Oh well, still grateful!!!

As far as I know, you can't do it online. If you call Jefferson's admissions office, however, one of the options given in their automated system is press this # to request an interview... I haven't actually tried doing it myself though, so that's all I know...

Is it worth giving it a shot? I was wondering if I do select that option on the phone if I get to talk to admission staff or do thye just take your name and number down?

I tried this phone thing about a month ago and still haven't heard anything. It just prompts a voicemail that asks for your name and number. Still not sure if it's legit, but it doesn't seem to be. Try for yourself and see what happens.

I tried calling them a few weeks ago...the interview request hasn't worked for me yet. Perhaps if you really kiss Jefferson's butt in the voicemail message they'll invite you.
