Am enjoying how easy it is to enjoy music with my new mac laptop and new ipod nano!!!

Someone (urge, maybe?) posted how the itunes store rejuvenated his love for music...cant agree more...you listen to a song or album, then read what other people bought which points you to music you wouldve never found!!!

Bassnectar....Diverse Systems of Throb

Rage Against The Machine....Rage Against The Machine

Disturbed......The Sickness

The Art of Noise.....Who's Afraid Of?

Nine Inch Nails.....Year Zero

Rabbit In The Moon.......Decade

Kraftwerk.....Computer World

Genetically Modified....The Black Dog & Black Sifichi (Remix Album(

Prodigy..........Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned

Amazon.com can be a useful resource as well, believe it or not. Check out your bands, see what others thought, check out what they bought, sample it, buy it on apple if you dig it.

torrent downloads allow one to, hypothetically, download entire discographies in about an hour.

With a Rhapsody mp3 player and Rhapsody subscription, you can download as many albums as you want onto your player for just $15 a month. The only drawback is that you can only listen to the music on your computer and through your mp3 player.

🙁 does anybody else miss oink?

thanks for reminding me to listen to RATM again. damn that stuff is recorded well 🙂

Ahhh Kraftwerk.....i haven't thought of them in a long time.

One thing you should check out about your nano is the Nike thing, it is a little thing you plug into your nano and you have a sensor in your running shoe and it tracks your speed and distance and while you are listening to your nano, it prompts you with famous people. I was running, and Lance Armstrong comes through my headphones and says "congradulations! You just ran your fasted mile yet" and as you do other stuff, other famous people come on and say stuff. Also, it encourages you and prompts you like "only 300 yards to go!" When you are done, you plug your nano into your mac and it plots your run on a graph and keeps track of all your workouts. For me, it is great because I hate to run so at least it makes it a little more enjoyable. Anyway, since you have a Nano, you should check it out. I don't think the gadget works in other ipods.

Cool! Thanks!

I gotta buy some desktop speakers...Its a need now. Not a want.

Either the Audioengine 5's: http://www.amazon.com/Audioengine-multimedia-speakers-total-2-way/dp/B000OABTPQ/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b
look tight as hell

or the Audioengine 2's:http://www.amazon.com/AudioEngine-Black-Powered-Speaker-System/dp/B000VKEFN2/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b
125 bucks cheaper and 1/3 the size.

Either one you can bring with to the party to bang out some tunes or hook up to yer bedroom TV for some extra sauce.

I rock a 2K car audio system, $275 headphones, and $35 shipped desktop system - and love it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121123

If you don't like it, you can give it to a friend. The only downside is not quite as portable as some of the cutesy ipod docks, but they pack up and go to the beach just fine. Just need a wall outlet and an ipod.

Well I'm now out 325 bucks. Hope these speakers are as good as the reviews state.

My recent Ipod DL's

Robert Babicz "A cheerful temper." Just some good electronica

Terry Lee Brown Jr "softpack." Just some good house

Dinosaur Jr's "beyond." C'mon dude its dinosaur jr. As good as they used to be for shizzle.

....and this is why i lurk on gasforums...you guys have some TASTE in music.

downloaded some Pelican after seeing them in Vent's signature....wow, just wow!
thanks, Vent!

just downloaded the epic "Come My Fanatics..." by Electric Wizard.

heavier than thou sludge rock. you've been warned.

been listening to some Pig Destroyer in the morning to wake up also. better than caffeine. though i'm pretty sure too much can make you sterile.

(i never claimed to have good taste)

I told ya - you're my boy. Send me a PM , give you Prodigy. Have been to one live in Europe, sitting at their table WOW. You're a fine man!

was thinking of johny rotten and sid viscious of Sex pistols today for some reason. Anyway, I eventually downloaded the song Seattle by Public Image Ltd. Its a good song if u don't remember it. Check it out on youtube.

Drowning Pool - Full Circle (album)

entire album is good. Enemy, Shame, Reborn, Paralyzed, 37 stiches are notabales. Lead singer is of SOiL, so if you liked their sound this is a definate winner.

Age Of Daze - Afflicted (single)
Tantric - Down & Out (single) are also of mention.
