My dream occupation is to be an epidemiologist and a medical scientist specializing in drugs, and other products that affect health. I'd like to attend JHU for this, however my high school gpa is 3.7 and I've just taken the ACT but this one won't be on my transcript (my school was giving free vouchers). My counselor has helped me by telling me that my gpa must be a 3.7 or higher and my score on the ACT has to be a 32-34 or higher. I'm taking AP Bio, AP Stats, Anatomy and Chemistry next year as a junior. Senior year I plan on taking a CNA class, Medical Terminology and AP Chemistry. My rank of my classmates if I remember correctly is either 53 or 112 out of 309.
Besides Harvard, JHU is the top medical school in the country. But I'm unsure if it's one of those schools where I'd attend after finishing generals to become a doctor. The medical school in my state is hardly a medical school; its just the other school that doesnt focus on agriculture or music.
Do you think I'd be able to be accepted? I start applying for scholarships next year, and plan on doing more community service.
Thank you :')
