Hi, I am called for a job interview at Walgreens Pharmacy this Friday and I would appreciate it if someone gave me their experiences, etc.

This will be my first job interview ever and obviously, I'm very nervous. Can you tell me what it'll be like? How long the interview will be, will I get drug tested the same day, etc.

Thanks!

What is the position you're applying for?

Put on a suit. The interview really depends on who is interviewing you. I was hired before the urine test, but I think you're supposed to pass the urine test first. The urine test is taken in lab, not at Walgreen's. You're going to take an additional online test during the interview.

Thanks.

I signed up for a tech position/cashier. What kind of test will I take? Is it hard?

Will the drug test be on the same day?

Also: What kind of questions will be asked?

The online test is to see if you can read and understand their coupons, how to add, how to treat customers in sticky situations, etc. The drug test you take elsewhere within like a week. I think they call you back after your drug test to let you know how it went and then they offer you the job.

The interview is like a typical interview. The manager is just throwing some questions at you to see if you can answer the questions in a way that proves that you've got a brain. Also to learn more about you and perhaps your character if that's important to them. Depends on the individual person who is conducting the interview. So just act like you're a hard worker, honest, smart, moral with common sense, etc. and obviously not a psycho. Just be someone they would want to work with. Remember that the manager wants you to be the next person they hire so they don't have to interview more useless people. Sometimes it's not even the right answers you say but just purely whether they like you in the first few seconds of meeting you. Just be cool. 🙂 Good luck!
