Anybody have any thoughts about this job offer? I know there are a few psych NPs on here..

- 30 min med management/supportive therapy visits, 60 for evals
- 3 weeks vacation
- no call
- low acuity population (mostly students and young professionals)
- training in TMS
- major city
- $135,000

I'll be a new grad so this would be my first job.

Depends which city. If it’s high cost of living, then $135k might not stretch. But it actually sounds pretty good. There’s a Facebooker page called PHMNP that you should add. They will ask for your RN license number to confirm who you are. Tons of PHMNP on there. Very supportive. Pose the question to them and you’ll get 50 answers the same day.

But to me that sounds decent. I’d try to squeeze out some more vacation time, and ask them to pay for licensing and continue into education ($1500-$2000 is a reasonable number).

Not a bad offer for a new grad assuming it includes health benefits, CEU time and money. Do you get sick days? 401k? Malpractice coverage? And yes, do join the PMHNP facebook group. It is an excellent resource. You have to prove you're a nurse to join.
