Just got a job offer from AmerisourceBergen. Its a temp to perm transition offer. Anyone have experience working for them?

I briefly worked for Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions, one of their subsidiaries, as an outpatient pharmacist a few years ago. Their health insurance benefits were amazing, but their pharmacy software was terrible.

What about working environment? Im hearing that even though it a big corporation, far better work environment than places like cvs or walgreen?

I don’t think my experience with them was typical. They opened up several pharmacies attached to free-standing emergency rooms, so our only volume came from ER prescriptions. The pharmacies were owned by the health system, but Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions was contracted to run them.

The ERs never tried sending prescriptions our way even though the pharmacies were technically owned by the health system. The max we ever did was 20 prescriptions a day, with average of 8 and lowest of 2.

I was employed there for about 8 months before they shut everything down and laid us all off. I had left CVS to work for them. Best 8 month vacation of my life. Then I went back to work at CVS.
