what kind of job offers have pgy4s been getting this year. Also, if you remember some of the offers your colleagues were getting last year, that would be nice to hear too. Specifically for outpatient types of settings. Info about job duties, hours and salary would be great.

Thanks

This is what Kaiser in SoCal offers Physiatrists:

Year 1: $143,400
Year 2: $150,600
Year 3: $163,800
Year 4: $188,400
Year 5: $196,600

This job is for 4 1/2 days per week and you have no call. You can make more if you do evening clinic once per week or take call. They have job openings currently in San Diego and Los Angeles. You can make more in a private practice and you can expect to make much less in academics.

Non-fellowship trained graduates I know who are taking private practice, outpatient jobs (MSK, EMG, basic peripheral joint and soft tissue injections) have been getting offers in the range of 160K per annum to start in combination with various formulas for productivity bonuses and pathways to partnership. These are basically four day per week gigs, lots of vacation, benefits, etc. Some have also gotten recruitment bonuses in the range of 10-15K on top of that. For interventionally trained physiatrists the salaries are much higher.
