i know being a dentist pays a lot. but i am the sort of person who would want to do it mainly to help people and becasue fo the flexible hours. i am from the uk and would want to work in the NHS after being qualified.

can i ask qualified dentists if the job gives them that satisfaction?

My job gives me the same satisfaction I feel after eating a Snickers candy bar.

On this forum, youre mostly talking to undergrads and people in dental school. If really want to know the answer to this question, try shadowing a dentist or getting involved with pre-dental society. you cant gauge how satisified youre going to be with dentistry by how satisfied someone else is. money is an aspect to the profession, . The satisfaction of helping other people is also one of the joys of this profession.
