Hey everyone,
I’m applying through TMDSAS this cycle and currently planning to take my MCAT on July 12, 2025. I’ve been feeling a little anxious about the timing — is that too late to be considered on time for Texas schools?
For context:
I just want to make sure I’m not hurting my chances by testing mid-July. I know TMDSAS lets you apply without an MCAT and update scores later, but I’d appreciate any advice or reassurance from those who’ve been through this or are in the same boat!
Thanks in advance 🙏

For context:
- My science GPA is 3.1 after completing my post-bacc, but I’ve completed 35 post-bacc credits with a 4.0 (strong upward trend).
- My full-length practice exams have been in the 510–512 range, but I’m aiming for a 520 on test day.
- I plan to submit my primary application in early June, well before my MCAT score comes back.
