There is no rhyme or reason for how they lead you into the answer selection.

Well, just one more day of fun!

Thanks for sharing that... Did you take that in the computer? I was under the impression that it should only be one day = 8 hrs total?

What resources helped you the most?

Thanks

Good old paper and pencil my friend. Standard 16hr 800 question COMLEX marathon.

There is no study material on the planet Earth that will present clinical information the way its presented on the test. With vague presentations such as: "32 y/o male presents with mild abdominal cramping with slight nausea." Followed by: "which of the following tests would you perform initially." This is followed by completely undirected and totally appropriate answer selections as: stool for cultures, cbc, abdominal xray, pt/ptt, or urine analysis.

I shook my head and busted out laughing more times than I care to remember. Sorry bout the ramble.

Anyways in retrospect I believe the following resources are worthwile:
1)Crush step II (thought it was better than step III which is just an abridged version of this text).
2)Strong medicine: although you won't get CCS's this is still a fantastic text.
3)High Yeild obgyn
4)NMS step III question book. Far superior to the Q-book. Had suprising amount of similar questions on COMLEX III. Plus its less painful to study from.
5)Savarese

Thats it. If you can get through this stuff then you've really done your part. The rest is really out of your hands. Now, lets see if I passed this thing.

Don't forget the intrarectal coccydynia OMT technique on the 14 year old girl. Freakin' perverts.

I would seriously not sweat the COMLEX...it is a very tricky and holistically ambiguous exam that a round table of osteopathic wizards come up with after they all did cervical HVLA on each other...I'm sure you all passed

Just did the USMLE Step 1 today and get a feel of really how different they are. The USMLE has "matured" to a point that the questions seem to be much easier to read, not ambigious, but harder to answer. Just my 2 cents. I wonder what COMELX is going to evolved to after the CBT format is out. If I failed the COMLEX, at least I can take it on a computer. 😀

Thanks all!!! I'm sooo looking forward to getting messed up by NBOME again when step III comes rollin' around the corner...
