June 15th deadline???

so I've been hearing about this june 15th deadline for people to just choose ONE medical school (in that way people in the waitlist can start hearing from the schools) but according to the aamc webpage the deadline should have been may 15th. can someone explain this to me? did the rules change because of the AMCAS delays or what? thanks,

Its May 15th.

Accepted individuals are only suppose to be holding one spot after May 15th.

If it was June 15th then these waitlists would never move

as far as i know may 15 was still the deadline this year. do a may 15 search and you'll get tons of threads from last month about it.

I thought that the date was always May 15th. The date never changed to June 15th.

I think the date was June 15th in the past and it was changed to May 15th this year b/c of AMCAS troubles........or maybe it was always May 15th. 😕 In any case, I think May 15th to the end of June is the period showing the biggest movement.
