First of all, thank you all, and it feels amazing to be finished!

Here are my scores from 2 hours ago

PA: 22 (90.9%) 🙂
QR: 24 (98.4%) :barf:
RC: 20 (65.5%) 😍😍
Bio: 21 (91.8%)
GC: 22 (89.2%)
OC: 22 (88.7%)

TS: 21 (90.3%) 😀
AA: 22 (95.7%) 😍

oGPA = 3.7, sGPA = 3.6

So I don't have much a breakdown. I took Dr. Romano's class past semester and I wasn't really studying during that time - just his class and that's it. I scheduled my exam two weeks after his class and I was burning during that two weeks. I didn't do any achiever and did two TS on topscore in my friend's house but I wasn't really paying much attention and got 17/20/17 and 16/19/16 or something like that about two weeks ago. And destroyer was definitely the most helpful one.

Bio: Alan's bio note, datqvault, some cliff AP, destoryer

I really liked qvault. I was scoring from 17~20,21, I don't have exact scores because I took them more than twice and it's all confusing now. I had few exact same questions on the dat as it was on qvault. For studying I mainly used destroyer and alan's note. I feel like destroyer is very good for looking at questions or what kind of answer should be expected, but alan's note is also very good for looking at organized notes. I looked at cliff AP when I need more detailed info from alan's bio note. I went over qvault at least twice each test and destroyer once during his class and once by myself. I think I got like 23 or ADA DAT 09.
I mainly studied bio over two weeks, and I'm pretty happy with the score - I'm a bio major but I'm not the best with bio lol. I marked like 20 questions, literally, and I thought I'd have to retake the DAT.

GC: datqvault, destroyer

I didn't really study much for GC, I was pretty good with it and I thought I'd do better but I found this section harder than I expected. I was scoring from 20 to 26 on qvault. I went over destroyer once in class and once by myself.

OC: datqvault, destroyer

I studied second most with bio. I got B in the class and was my weak point.
Questions were very simple compared to qvault or destroyer. I didn't have hard reactions, and they said "this is claisen" when they asked for claisen. Know the roadmap on destroyer, then you should be pretty well off. I think qvault was helpful with orgo, I went over all the exams at least twice. Might've done better if I watched Chad but I didn't have enough time as I mentioned.
I thought this was easiest section on science but I guess I got more wrong than I expected. Still pretty happy with my score.

QR: qvault, math destroyer

I didn't really study for this section, I was pretty good with math since forever. Took two math destroyer and like 3 qvault, was getting 25~28.
Thought I got one or two wrongs but more than I expected, I don't really mind.

RC: qvault

I'm really happy for this section, English is not my first language and I thought I did much worse and I was really worried about this section. I thought this section was REALLY hard, there was barely any SnD questions. On one passage, at least 7 questions were like - Here's the statement: A because of B, A) A and B is true and it's the reason why, B) A and B is true but not the reason why, C) A is true but B is not, D) A is false B is true, E) both A and B are false. I guessed on many of them. I couldn't really prepare for it, so I gave up on it and hoping for 17 and up. got 21, 22 and 19 on 3 qvault tests.

Passages were 13 paragraphs long, and one of them were only 8 paragraphs long.

PA: CDP

Really, REALLY hard. Angle was easier than CDP imo, and TFE was about the same. Cube was just like CDP.
Keyhole: Somewhat harder than CDP. there were some random shapes, they were like a rock and I couldn't really see it well. There were many proportional questions, like it looks same but you have to be careful with the proportion just like others said.
Hole Punching: Harder than CDP, some of the questions were as hard as CDP but some of them were folded really weirdly, also just like other people said.
Pattern folding: Harder than CDP for sure. I feel like CDP has more direct shapes without any bents and stuff but actual DAT had really weird shapes. It's kinda hard to explain, but it was harder lmao.

I bought 10 test version, took 6 of them. scored 21, 22, 24, 23, 25, 29 yesterday. After 24 and 25s I didn't feel the need of taking more so I didn't bother finishing all 10 tests, and I don't think it would've helped much even if I did.

Overall, I'm very happy with my score, especially because I thought I had to take test again in three months. I know it's not superb, but it's the score I wanted lol.
I live in NY and I really hope to get into stony but I don't have much of extra curricular so I'm very doubtful. I didn't do any research and have about 100 hours of shadowing experience. NYU is my second pick. Here are the list of schools I'm looking into

Boston University
Columbia University
New York University
S.U.N.Y., Buffalo
S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook
Temple University
Tufts University
University of Connecticut
University of Maryland
University of New Jersey
University of Pennsylvania
University of Pittsburgh

I don't want to go too far from my house so I'm applying to the schools around my state. Please let me know if I should take out some schools or add some others.
I didn't write my personal statement yet but I'm probably going to apply in first cycle.

PS. I was really surprised that at the end they make you do this survey, and your score pops up on the screen. I thought they just give you the hard copy outside but they show it there and I was really surprised with my score popped up, since I was really depressed and worried lol.

nice!! glad everything turned out well and you killed it!

can you get into the genchem and orgo a bit more compared to qvault?
genchem - were the calculations as simple as qvault's? were there as many weird concept related questions as qvault?
orgo - DAT was easier than qvault? any weird reagents or concepts that you didnt see in destroyer?

also, can you post your qvault genchem and ochem scores please?

AMAZING! over 20 in every single section! Congratss!

I hope I can post similar results in a couple of days...😕

no weird concepts on gchem, it was pretty straight forward. i wasn't clear enough with some conceptual questions I think. Orgo was definitely easier than qvault, less rediculous questions, it was mostly easy reagents and additions. I went thru GC and OC more than once so It's confusing but I'll try my best to put my qvault scores up later.

Yeah! I was really happy when I saw all 20 and above 🙂
Thanks guys!

Thanks guys!

did u think there were weird concepts/definitions on qvault genchem too or was that just me? lol ...n thanks itd be a great help if you can post ur first set of gc and oc scores...your bio has me worried for myself since i was hoping for at least 2 point increase from my avg qvault scores :-/

haha yea there are definitely some weird and random gc and orgo questions on datqvault.
congrats on your scores btw. you did amazing!

Qvault scores
Bio: 20/18/19/20/19/18/17/20/18/16. I didn't do them in any order, I just did whichever I felt like lol
GC: 26/19/20/19/24/20/20/26/24/24. I guess I was on a bad swing lmaoo
OC: 20/18/18/20/18/20/18/20/18/19.

@barnes...glad im not alone on the weird gc/oc ques on qvault thing lol..i hope those dont show up on the real thing
@ijk ...thanks a lot for posting the numbers...so u saw a nice increase in bio and oc and avg for gc was what u got on the test, so was the difficulty on GC DAT equivalent to qvaults?

Congrats! Seems like you relied a lot on Destroyer material, I like it as well thus far. Hope it helps me as it did for you.

Yes I relied most of my GC and OC on destroyer. There were couple of bio questions that I saw on the destroyer that was actually on the test, but I feel like you still need to study out of the destroyer especially in bio.

Congratulations. With these scores, you better get in somewhere. Well done.

I was freaking out about the question type. It sure wasn't the type I expected, couldn't really use search and destroy. For the last passage, I didn't even bother taking notes like I did for search and destroy. I think the best strategy is to read the whole passage and do the problems

we took the test on the same day.. but i guess our test questions were different....
anyways, congrats on your good score!
i did everything else okay but RC... (16)....... 🙁

My passages were about prions, fiber optics and genetic disorder. and I'm sorry about RC, but I heard many schools have cutline of 16 or 17 on rc, so you should contact schools separately!

mine was about cancer and telomere, aging, and i dont even remember the last one..

anyways good luck with your app!

What made you chose stony over Boston or NYU?

Congrats on the great job. How did you study for the PAT. Looks like you are naturally good at it.

Thanks everyone lol
@dotoday : I'm a ny resident, stony is whole lot cheaper than any other schools.
@rocky90: I did cdp and nOthing else really. I guess I'm somewhat naturally good at it, I never had to practice hole punching and angle ranking you just have to focus I think. Keyhole is easy if you practice on cdp (IMO) and cube you just count separately first and do the problems. Tfe you improve by practicing but I think pattern folding requires the mostly born with + practice makes it perfect

Being in new york doesn't make a difference as being in any other states other than NJ, but it's less expensive than NYU isn't it?

In my case, it's about 40 minutes commute with no traffic and I'd assume the traffic is other way in the morning and the evening, so it's about the same time as I'd commute to NYU, gotta pay toll but yeah
