Hi!
In kind of a dillema. I obviously would rather take the MCAT July to better prepare, since I don't know if a month is enough, but at the same time I'd rather suck it up and try for June if it means getting an advantage by applying early, so my main question is:

If I take the MCAT June 13th (receive scores July 15th) vs. taking it on July 8th (and receiving scores Aug 13thish)--> is that a big difference in applying (assuming in both cases I would have everything ready to go by the time I receive my scores)?? Some older posts stated that there isn't much of a difference as the secondaries would arrive at the same time whereas other posts said that there is a clear advantage in submitting before August.

Thanks!

submitting amcas aug 13 still leaves you in good shape, but you won't be among the earliest group. Once you hit september, you're doing yourself a disservice in my opinion. You can find all sorts of differing opinions on SDN about this, some wildly overrating the "apply early" theme and some underrating it. If you will be more prepared in July, take it then. A few extra points on the MCAT is certainly worth the wait. That being said, August MCAT will definitely set you back. good luck.
