Hey all,

I am wanting to get into a competitive pediatrics residency. I have a high step 1 score (>250), and have honored pretty much all of my classes. I just found out recently that I was inducted into Junior AOA. Do you think junior aoa is looked at by the competitive pedi residencies such as hopkins, boston childrens, CHOP, denver?

Getting AOA is a reflection of your performance overall. If you have >250 (!) on your step I and honored all your classes thus far, that's the money. Keep going that way and your chances will be spectacular at matching at a top program. Not all med schools have junior AOA, so the focus is more on your actual performance, which sounds like its awesome. keep it up.
