I just landed a 2 month Summer Research position in a (top 5) Medical School out of state. The problem is that I will be sending out my apps in early June. How can I incorporate this experience, if all my information is en route to schools? Is there a way to revise or update my LOR with better ones at the end of the summer? Do secondary apps have places to mention this new work?

Most secondaries allow you to talk about things you are doing for the year. Also you can project hours in primaries.

Many schools accept application updates as well if you are unable to incorporate the details of your research into their secondary application.

When do you start this program? If you can wait to submit until you have started the program it would be good. That way it is a “current” activity and not a “future” activity. Even if it means waiting a couple of weeks to submit your primary( and then you can expand on the activity in your secondaries) it might be beneficial.
