So let me type this up so I can get some advice and sorta reassure myself as to what is going on in my head and whether or not I'm doing the right thing in the last days.
Biology: I think I can officially say that I have this **** down. By down, that doesn't mean 100% but I feel that if I quickly skin AP Cliff's just one more time, I'll have it down, maybe review some little stuff. I kept getting 15's on Achiever but they test so many minute details. I got 18 in Kaplan, but like I said, I just need to review some minor things, you know, rods and cones, monera vs. protist, little itty bitty confusing stuff like blue-green algea, and some of the tunda-tunga stuff. Other than that obscure minute stuff, I think I have the major components of the brain, functions, hormones, down. I have a fairly damn good memory so this helps. But hey, **** like microtubules, microfilaments, chitin, and all these weird same-sounding names still kinda confuse me so I'll get to that. No, I'm not autistic!
Chem: I'm actually most afraid of this section. I really hope they don't throw funky "ICE" questions. I get the whole Q>C = precipitate stuff. I got acids, bases, and I get dilution, and pretty much all the gas laws. Molars, molality stuff is all down. I think I'm 100% as far as conceptual questions, go but a need a little work on calculation and just get the overall rhythm down of certain things and how to approach it. I feel like going over Destroyer will help, even if it is a little overkill. I'll review all the Topscore questions/achievers as well as Achiever. In fact, I'll take Achiever #3 tomorrow and go over the answers. It doesn't LOOK bad. Gotta memorize the decay reactions too. I feel like if I took the BB Kaplan test all over, I'd get a 25+ on this section. The Kaplan test chemistry looks REALLY easy. I hope it's like that.
O-Chem: Probably my 2nd scariest section. You could see all sorts of reactions. If they are Markov, SN1, SN2, E1, E2, I think I have it down. The hard stuff is when they ask for isomers, epimers, and weird stuff that I haven't really gone into detail as far as o-chem classes go. Gotta memorize my activators! Umm....Oh and I'm very rusty on amide, amine, Wittig, Wolf Kishner, Clemmenson, Aldol....like this is my biggest area of weakness. Is it worth going over? I didn't really see anything in Kaplan BB and saw maybe 1-2 in Achiever. I'd like some thoughts on this.
PAT: I got a 22 on both the Barron's test and a 20 on my last CDP test. Prior to that, I got like 18's on CDP. People say CDP is much harder. I'm sure if I had tried harder on Barron's, I could have gotten like 22+. I'm a pretty good visual person. The only thing standing in my way is time. Gotta go faster! WOOHOO!
RC: Probably my best section. I read all the time on the computer screen so I actually prefer reading on the computer screen to a paper exam. SO MUCH EASIER! I took Topscore, I believe twice and got a 21 and that was with a bunch of dumb mistakes too. Didn't take any in Achiever for obvious reasons.
QR: Probably my least studied section. By studied, I mean, I just have to go over some of the stuff I'm bad at. Like those stupid two person, rate questions. If person A leaves at 11 and Person B leaves at 1130, with seperate MPH, at what time do they cross each other. THOSE problems get me each and every time. I need to memorize the computation method too. nCr stuff and probability. OH and I need to memorize the values for sin, cos, and tan for the unit circle and maybe memorize the trig identities.
PHEW! I didn't think I'd write so much. I feel sorta pumped up and ready to go!
What do ya'll say! I really wanna get a 20AA+ on this DAT and I really don't wanna retake it! Please God, help me out! I know I don't believe in you, but I'll become religious if I get a really high score! HELP ME!!!!😀
