First off, I have already taken the DAT and applied to schools so this thought doesn't really pertain to me, but if i had to take the DAT again this is something that I think I might try out. I think I would have taken a topscore test right off the bat, with no prior studying and afterwards, just put it off to the side without even peaking at the answers to see what I missed. Then at the end of my studying, I would take the exact same test again and look at the scores (see what I got right/wrong the first time, see how I compared to the second time) to gauge my progress. I think by not looking at the answers the first time around, this will give you a more accurate view of your "progress" you have made and might also shed some light on the subjects you have not covered adequately. This was just one of my thoughts I wanted to throw out there. What do you guys think?
