today i got my first stethoscope ever! i went mainstream and got the littman cardio III, but i don't care, now i've got a cool toy and i can't wait to go listen to all my friends. (i already feel bad for my poor boyfriend...he's been my guinea pig for all the new "techniques" i've semi-learned.)

just thought i'd share some happiness...

i'm such a nerd. 🙂

Cremaster reflex is a good one to try, should make him feel better...

ha, ya'll are silly people...

i have to admit that i tried to find his liver, and ended up hurting him. so i guess i still need to practice...

Don't feel bad. That's not the most comfortable exam in the world anyway. And I still can't feel it half of the time.

Lord help him when you get to the DRE.

Just one? You should have two at least. I know I do.

Yeh, you might be joking but I actually want a second scope as well. Keep one at home to listen to my kids when they get a cough and stuff like that, another on in my locker. Plus, instant replacement in case my main one gets stolen or something.

wow, you went all out. good work.

No, you are not a nerd; you are a freaking tool. Why do you feel bad for your bf? isn't he screwing you? or is there someone else besides him?

Wow. I think that's the single most abrasive post I've seen in a LONG time. F off and whatnot.

OP: Congrats on your new toy 🙂 Have fun!

wow, i must have really pissed off that feynmann dude...

oh well!

just for the record, the hunter green version is a nice color...

I got the Harvery Elite...about $136 to get one on steeles or all heart. Have the hunter green too😍.
Just sadly my boyfriend lives too far away to try it on him, and I am not that close to my roomate. But I have listened to her cat's heart beat 🙂
I listen to my own heart and its amazing what I hear. It's like a freaking ocean in there ... I just cannot hear my breath sounds, I am wondering if I got one with a defective bell.

I'm just not excited about getting the oto/optho set. Arrrrrgggghhhh!!!
Does any one have recommendations for wicked cheap ones?

with shipping mine was just under $150, and the place where i ordered it did free engraving...

yay for hunter green!

Remember with the Littmann Cardio III's that the small side is a pediatric diaphragm and not a bell until you remove the the plastic cover. I didn't know this for a whole year after purchasing my stethoscope; just learned this the other day.

I bought my first thoracotomy tray today. We're practicing on each other in lab next week.
