I've been searching around for forums regarding full scope primary care in rural areas and some people consider rural as <50k lol. Is this the general consensus? Rural to me is like <20k.
See now I grew up in a town of 8,000 that was widely considered rural by neighboring towns. I guess there's not fast and true definition. <2,500 is "boonies" lol.
I believe there are some scholarships that are directed towards those who wish to practice in a rural community, which is defined by 1) having a shortage of PCP's, and 2) <30k (fairly certain that's the number).
