Hi, I was just wanting some opinions on my situation...I graduated last year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with a 3.49 and I have been a Critical Care nurse for one year. I am interested in dental school, and was wondering what my chances of getting accepted would be with my background. Thanks!

Your GPA is solid. However, there are still many other things that we need to know from you in order to make a more accurate assessment. How is your EC? Have you gotten strong LOR? And most importantly, have you taken the DAT?

That's not a bad GPA, it depends on what your science GPA is, but I'm guessing it's probably okay. If you have all the pre req's and get some shadowing done, I think you could make a pretty good candidate. Also, make sure you have a good reason for switching careers.

Do you have all the prereqs done?

All my nurse friends didnt have to take anywhere as many sciences as I did, they only took 1 semester of orgo and 1 of gen chem and 1 of bio...
