Hey all.

I know Destroyer is basically super hard blah blah but it prepares you well. I just did my first 40 questions out of Destroyer yesterday for Biology and I missed 6. Is this a good start?

Also, I am TERRIBLE at math, and I'm getting like 50% right on the QR of Destroyer. Now I know they say QR Destroyer is easier than Math Destroyer, so I'm really worried about what's going to happen when I move to Math Destroyer. I will probably get 20% right (if that) lol. I'm hoping after I do the QR maybe some math skills will come back to me. I haven't had any geometry since 10th grade..sucks.

Same for gen chem/ochem.....averaging about 60%... does it get easier with practice? I plan on learning all the explanations, this book just makes me feel so dumb. I've already been studying for a month now (Chads videos twice, Cliffs, Barrons, KBB) and I can't even get most of the problems right. Feel like I've just wasted a month of studying lol.

Any thoughts? What was your experience like when you first began Destroyer?

Thanks all!

I haven't done destroyer bio yet but you are doing fine for gen chem and ochem. Most people get around 50-60% correct. Also, don't worry about the crazy calculation problems. There is no way you will be expected to do them on the real test. Just focus most on the concepts behind the questions.

Also you have been studying for a month and you finished gen chem, ochem, and bio already????/ damn... lol

and yeah math destroyer is gonna be a big *****.

I'm in math destroyer right now and it's incredibly discouraging. I spent like 2 hours going through the first test, and got 21 wrong. So not only did I take more than double the time to try and figure it all out, but I got more than half wrong. I figure that would be like 30 wrong on the DAT. Ugh.

Dude. I heard that the real test is much easier. Just worry about why you got the questions wrong and develop a strategy to do the problem fast.

I think I will be excited if I get at least 5 right. LOL. I'm so bad at math. Have you tried the QR section of Destroyer? Or did you go straight to Math Destroyer?

We don't need math to be dentists! Argh.

I am a chem major and tutor.

Destroyer chem is hard for me. So is math...I haven't done ochem or bio yet...doings chads and cliffs ap first.

I'm glad(in the self relief way) to see that other people struggle through destroyer, cause it was really worrying me.

I started in Math Destroyer, only because I heard the QR section in destroyer wasn't as good. Except, it depends on what you want to call "good". If you think that being dominated, causing you to panick that you won't get more than a 10 on the QR section of the DAT, which would crush all hopes of ever getting into dental school, is "good", then math destroyer is flipping fantastic!! lol

Getting 34/40 from Dat Destroyer Bio on your 1st set is pretty good if you ask me lol.

Ima needa you to holla at me and tell me how far you are lol this destroyer non sense is killing me!

Haha I'm TERRIBLE at math too and after going through the first 5 or 6 math destroyer tests it definitely seemed impossible. I promise it gets a LOT easier tho. I went from getting 18/40 on the first test to 34/40 on the 8th test. I plan on going through it for a second time when i'm done as it was the reason why I am retaking the test lol.

34/40 on bio destroyer is pretty damn good. Have you been doing Qvault bio??

:laugh::laugh::laugh:
thank god. I thought I was the only one spending hours on a single test🙄

If you want to do well (24+) on the QR, you need to make it so that Math Destroyer is easy and you're getting almost all of them right. Math Destroyer is easy under no time restrictions, it's doing them under the time allotment that makes it difficult. Everyone here should know almost everything in the QR section, and after a refresher should be nailing MD under no time restriction. QR is about efficiency and speed.

I am having a lot of difficulty with Math destroyer. I started with Chad's QR section and quizzes before moving to destroyer.
After the first set of questions I met with a math tutor for 2 hours. He helped me a lot and I was able to move through test 2 with a little more ease. I am meeting him again next week for another session so I can nail down the geometry questions.

I'm actually not as worried about Biology as a lot of people are, I'm more worried about QR and PAT. Lol. At the end of today, I'm only 3 days into all the Destroyer sections. Been doing about 40 Bio, 25 ochem/gchem, and 15 QR each day. Taking it slow so I can mess up and learn everything first time around, and the second time hopefully I won't miss as much.

I am doing baby steps with Math...definitely cant jump right into Math Destroyer! I know people say the QR isn't as good, but you have to start somewhere!

As of getting a 24+ on QR, HAHAH....no....I will be satisfied with a 19 lol. I will definitely be sure to update you all when I start MD, it will probably make you guys feel a lot better about yourselves haha.

Thats awesome man haha. You are going to destroy the QR.

And thank you. I actually haven't started qvault. I'm a bio major and have taken lots of bio classes, so I'm pretty comfortable there. The only things I've used to study Bio so far are Cliffs, Barrons AP Biology and KBB. I've been using my freshman gen bio textbook to look up things that I feel like Cliffs doesn't explain too well also.

I have alan's notes, I read maybe the first 5 pages. Been too lazy to read the rest lol. Will get there eventually!
