Just finished my last Bootcamp practice test, unsure what to make of results.

Hey team,

I'm kind of confused. I just finished my last unused Bootcamp test and my scores were weird. I'm not sure what I should practice/study now - here's the scores:

Bio - 18, GC - 26, OC - 26, PAT - 20, Reading - 25, QR - 19

What's weird is that these are my usual scores from older tests (taken week/2 weeks ago):
Older Bootcamp
Bio : 21-26
GC : 19-20
OC : 19-20
QR : 18-19
RC : 19-23
PAT : 19- 21

2009 DAT
Bio: 22
GC: 20
OC: 20
PAT: 25

So basically I'm glad I did well in the other sections but I'm confused as to how I got such a low bio score...? It's my favorite subject and I typically do well in it! I've done ferralis and destroyer and genius and everything else, I guess this was sort of a fluke? I'm just looking for a reason not to panic with my DAT being 5 days away 😛

Mine is 10 days away :bang:
Go over your solutions, maybe you made some unintended mistakes on bio? If not, just make sure you learn from your mistakes and move on. Like many people mention: don't let 1 test score affect your confidence. At one point when I took BC FL, I scored a 19 at Orgo (a handful of unintended mistakes) and then a 27 the day after.
Your score looks really good on Bio, how have you been studying for it?

We got this! And yeah I reviewed and most of them are simple - forgot palms don't have oil glands and such. Thanks for the reminder 🙂. And bio is just my strong point I'm a supplemental instructor at my university for it, but I used genius/ferralis/destroyer/chads/kbb as well

Yes we do! it's all over soon!
How did you approach reading Feralis's notes? Did you just skim it or did you take notes, flashcards, etc.? And how many times did you read it?
I'm trying to decide between focusing on doing practice problems for bio or reading, what would you recommend?

I speed-read it once and highlighted whatever I didn't know. Then I copied whatever I highlighted into a new document and printed it out. Then I walked around my house jamming to tunes learning what I didn't know 🙂 and if you haven't finished bio destroyer yet I'd suggest that first. Try doing both though!

Thank you, I am currently going over destroyer bio for a 3rd time. However this time I'm taking notes of whatever I get wrong/ am not confident with and I'm going to try to maybe focus on improving those struggles using the bio notes.

What I do is mark whatever I got wrong on an excel sheet and then just review those only - saves time that would be otherwise wasted reviewing stuff you already know !

Lol just review what you get wrong. Honestly I was getting a lot of 21-22s on practice this time around but I got a 23 on the real one 🙂. Check out my new post lol xD. I'll post a full breakdown of what i did later.

What technique do you use when it comes to RC? You seem to do very well on it.

Thanks- I found it from some poster on SDN, I liked it a lot.
Read the first question, and then read until you find the answer. Click next, read until you find the answer to that question, rinse & repeat. If it's a tone question/something that you would best be able to answer once you read the whole thing, mark the question and come back to it after you finish that specific reading

Nice, that's exactly what my plan was lol
Thanks for telling me!

Good luck to both of you!

I absolutely agree, I tend to do that a lot. I will definitely be focusing on the ones I get wrong in these 10 days. Thanks again.

Good luck to both of you!
Thank you! and you as well!
