I'm a student at Western and will tell you that we're all friendly with eachother - we have the gunners too but I'm sure they exist in most schools. Maybe a little more at COMP, but overall we have some great people in our class that are more than willing to help when you need it.

Thanks for the reply. I ask because I was accepted at DMU this week and really love the school and 99.9% sure that I will ned up there, BUT, i have grown up in San Diego basically my whole life. So, it would be nice to stay in the area. When I went to visit the campus for an open house I got the feeling that students weren't necessarily all that frinedly. I know it is hard to make such a bold statement since I was only there one day.

congatulations on your success!

I know what you mean; seriously though, we're under a lot of pressure and I do know the feeling you're talking about compared to other schools; I got it too - and DMU students were all great. Like I said, there is a bit competitiveness here (moreso in our class than the class ahead of us) but that is going away slowly; We share a lot of information before exams, transcribe and share notes / study sheets; We still have those amusing people who say what an easy time they're having and you see them in tutoring that evening; And the ones who say they don't study but you see them up at 3:30am two weeks before the exam (this exists at all schools). I also got a different feeling at the other schools - but I'm glad I chose COMP. You're not really going to have much time to mingle and all. And the time you will have - there will be plenty of people in class that are awesome to spend it with; and I'm sure you have a life in San Diego which won't be too far to go to after exams. PM me if you have any questions so we don't hijack the OP's thread. In the end though, if location isn't a big deal - just go with your gut feeling.
