Congrats both of you..go and celebrate!!
On another note..when did you get the elusive secondary? How long was it? And what was the turnaround for the interview. Can you tell us about the interview and campus?
thanx...we are curious..
(in conjuction with my interview feedback)
I think I got my secondary from them about 2 weeks after my pirmary was complete and they had received it. It was via email and there were a couple essay questions and some other typical info and you can submit it online.
KCOM is really small, but they are building a new building, which will be done before fall 07. Kirksville is about 20,000 people and very quiet. (I didn't see a bowling alley
🙁 )
The interview was AWESOME!
I stayed at the comfort inn, and they have a great breakfast. mmm....waffles. They prep you about the day in the first 45 min or so, then give you a schedule and bio of the first two people you will interview with.
One is a professor, the other a physician. Then you will interview with an admissions staff lastly. Each interview is an hour.
With the exception of my phsyician interview, the interviews were very comfortable and conversational. They seemed very interested to get to know WHO the student actually is.
My physician interview included some ethical/gray area situations and my response to them, as a student, the Dean of KCOM, etc.
They gave a good financial aid presentation, a OMT demo, a tour, and a nice lunch.
It was a really positive experience, I was very impressed. Being my first interview, I was really nervous. at fist. But, the staff and students make KCOM a very comfortable and pleasant experience.
The student were really friendly too and hung out with me Friday night to show me around town a little.
GOOD LUCK!
