That sucks. Would you both mind updating your pre-dents? I'd like to see the stats.
I'm currently at an SMDEP and I met a girl who actually talked to a woman over admissions from Iowa and according to the girl Iowa shows no mercy. The lady told her that she would neve make it into dental school and not even to apply to Iowa because she wouldn't get in! So if it makes you feel any better you're not the only one.

Wow, Iowa sounds harsh! Actually I found the rejection amusing since I reapplied while I was still on a waitlist and I ended up getting in this cycle, so getting these rejection letters make me thank god that I don't have to go through this whole application process again!!
as for predents.com - I fortunately am not a 2008 applicant 😀

I am suprised Loma Linda has rejected anyone because they are the school last cycle that interviewed everyone and only accepted the cream of the crop. Loma Linda I heard told people on their interviews that their scores were to low and gpa was low. At least you didn't waste all that money to fly out there for them to just shut you down.
I just got rejected from Indiana today! 
the fact that it's Indiana doesn't bother me much, because I didn't really want to go there...it was one of those "let me just try" schools. But I'm getting worried now...I'm afraid to check my mail! I didn't think they'd be sending out rejections already!
Indiana said I had academic deficiencies(3.4 overall, 3.3 sci), which I knew was going to hurt me, but not so soon. The rest of my app was really strong, I hope the other schools actually look at my entire app!

* The average science GPA for applicants interviewed last year at Indiana University School of Dentistry was 3.56;
* The average overall GPA for applicants interviewed last year at IUSD was 3.61
