just how much easier is it to get in dental school than medical school?

is it like harvard vs penn
or harvard vs northwestern
or more?

hmm, i wonder whats harder, to get into harvard dental or something like northwestern med

or is harvard dental at a level like SLU med?

i meant if you were to compare in college admission

In terms of GPA, med school is only 0.2 harder than dental school to get into.

I've just switched to pre-med from pre-dental and let me tell you, dental school is just as hard to get into as med school. In the past couple of years, the number of applications to dental school has spiked, making it more competetive. Plus you still need the good GPA and DAT scores.

Thats like who'd be easier to get lucky with, Amanda Bynes or Brooke Burke??

I'd like to point out the fact that 0.2 is a huge difference in an undergrad GPA. At one point in my academic career I had ~3.47. I had to bust ass like you wouldn't believe (maintained a GPA of 3.993 for 1.5 years) and it only rose up to barely above 3.6.

Apparently, King Kong would though I think that's bogus. Doesn't Godzilla breathe fire or radiation or something? Seriously, how can an overgrown ape compete with that? 🙄

Actually, they made two versions of this movie. In america King Kong won and in Japan Godzilla won. So the answer to this question and the original question is its all relative.🙂

In the past few years Harvard dental has had approximately 1000 applicants for 35 seats; and they typically only have to offer 45-50 acceptances to fill those 35 spots. I'd say getting into harvard dental is more of an achievement than getting into some of the "lower-tier" medical schools.

The medium GPA of Harvard first year dental students is a little over 3.7, according to their web site.

I think it's more like an MD vs DO type of comparison.
