Has anyone else started a mental list of reasons why not getting in this cycle could be a good thing? Think of all the things you could do with that extra year... Not that I want to wait another year, but just in case. I've found it really helps with the anxiety! The world will not come to an end if this isn't the year.
Here's mine:
I can get a ton more volunteer and shadowing experience.
I just started a new job at the local hospital that I LOVE, and I almost hate thinking about only getting to work there for a year.
I could work on getting a better LOR from one of my supervisors, or maybe even one of the doctors that frequently works on my unit.
I could save up more money and pay off my credit cards before going back to school.
My wedding won't be during my first year.
