Hi everyone
Just received my part 1 score. It was a 90.I really did not expect it, cos I had messed up Physio/Biochem, and also did not do to my satisfaction in DA. Can any one advise me regarding the schools to apply. Mp GPA is 3.03(ECE), Toefl 290, and I have 4 years experience in India with an MDS in Pedodontics. Any advise would be useful. Anyway best of to all those who are preparing.

Apply in NYU as soon as possible. The deadline is approaching and your GPA and NDB score should qualify you for an interview. You can also apply to UMN. It is too late for the other schools. Congrats for your score. 👍

Hi everyone
Congratulations!Good score. You can apply to NYU and Umn.

CONGRATS!! you are in good standing with any school you choose. I would research on the post that write about where people are going and what type of academic profiles they have like gpa and test scores. But it is my opinion with all that you have you should pick 2-3 schools of your choice and 2-3 schools that are "safe" schools that you know after your reseach are schools that you have the best shot at. You will be fine . Corgrats again Good Luck and God Bless-Bil 👍 👍 👍

HEY BUDDY, ALL YOUR STATS ARE VERY GOOD. TRY AND REACH YOUR APPLICATIONS TO SCHOOLS LIKE NYU N COLORADO. GOD FORBIDS IF YOU DONT GET IN THIS YEAR, NEXT YEAR SURELY YOU'LL BE IN.
GOOD WISHES :luck:

thanks guys
Your advice was a great help. SDN really helped me a lot.

Good job rubberdam
👍
When did you take your test, was it in the new format? did it have a lot of clinical questions? did you study 2006 decks?
thank you and good luck for your other steps 😀

Hi
I just read the 2004 decks and the question papers, but I did not see too many clincal type questions. I gave my test on feb 1st 2006. I hope that helps. All the best for your preperation.

hi Prachi
I prepared for a total of five months. I just read the 2004 decks (5 times) and question papers. There were quite a few questions that were repeated from the old papers so make sure you know them well. I had referred to the anatomy text (Chaurasia) for diagrams. For physio/biochem I think reading the kaplan review notes and Q book in addition to the decks may help. Best of luck for your preparation.

Thanks Rubberdam.
That helps a lot.I was also wondering if we have diagrams or photos of slides in the exams(like for anat,Patho, dental anat...) in which we have to name the marked parts??

Great score!!!! Well done.

In my test there were no diagrams to be labelled. There were diagrams only in Dental anatomy regarding occlusion and movements.

Thanks again,Rubberdam.......thats a relief to know!

hey prachi
yes, there are diagrams in dental anatomy regarding movements, muscles and occlusion. however, the other sections normally dont have any diagrams.
hope this helps.

Thanks Calalily ..... 👍
