other than learning all the appropriate physical exams and note taking, what else do i need to study to prepare for CS? i just got the First Aid CS book and its 400 pages 😕. should i at least attempt to read through the whole thing?
any other suggestions?

Given your questions in other posts, you definitely need to at least read through the first half of First Aid (the Patient Encounter and Mini-Cases sections). There are explanations for all the questions you've posted in other threads.

The "full" cases in the end of FA show good examples of patient notes, if you are concerned about how to document your findings, DDx, etc. It shouldn't take too long, and will make you feel much more prepared. I'm an AMG, and I made myself read the entire thing over the two days before my test (today).

The only person I know (who is fantastic with patients and a surgical subspecialty resident) who failed CS told me it was because he wasn't prepared. BE PREPARED.
