This is my first time posting on SDN... even though I've been checking in on posts all summer long. I've found alot of useful information here and want to thank everyone that posted.

Here is my score breakdown.
PAT 19
QR 17
RC 21
Bio 20
Gchm 21
Ochm 21
TS 20
AA 20

I used the Kaplan white book. I didn't bother to go to the course but I did do some online sections and tests. Kaplan was great for PAT... However, I was scoring 20,22,18,21,21 on Kaplan PAT and took a hit on the real one. People weren't kidding when they said angles are nearly impossible to tell apart.

I used the DAT Destroyer book for the sciences and math. I think I did fine on the sciences... but I don't know what happened with my QR score... I actually thought the section wasn't that hard, I marked like 6 questions and had 9 minutes to go back and check.

I also had a Kaplan tutor and another private tutor.

As far as timing on the test, I had about 20 minutes left after the sciences, about 10 after the PAT. The reading only left me with 1 minute.

What do you guys think about these grades? My gpa is only a 3.0 so I don't know how competitive that is. I would like to go to NYU or UMDNJ.

I'll be happy to answer any questions since the SDN community has been so helpful to me.

Those scores + your GPA will be pretty good for NYU.

I am taking DAT next wednesday and I am getting pretty nervous about it.
Were there any odd bio questions? I did Kaplan white book and now taking a bunch of practice exams, TS and achiever. Just started skimming schum's bio..but it goes in details so Im not sure how far I gotta study with it tho.

Yes, orgo was so simple. I guess I got 4 questions wrong I'm not sure what they were. I'd say the dat destroyer hit that section better then the kaplan white book. Don't get me wrong, kaplan had good theory though and the 2 complement each other. I don't think I'd go without either. Just know your synthesis, that's big. Know your EAS system.

Bio is the most unpredictable section in my opinion. And I know they put it first, before all the others so that you'd forget the questions before you left the room hehe. These forums covered a lot of oddball questions though. Good luck.
