I just took the DAT today. I guess it was a relief, but I just realized how much useless information I know have stuck in my brain. Anyway, here are my scores:

PAT: 27
QR: 17
RC: 21
BIO: 19
GC: 23
OC: 23
TS: 21
AA: 21

I feel pretty good about the test, I bombed the QR - I did well on it on the practice exams. I used Kaplan and topscore. I only used the science portions of topscore. I know it's a good score but is it good enough to get me in if my GPA is 3.17 science/3.56 overall?

that PAT score sizzles. Congrats all around! (and I think everyone's having probs with the QR)

wow... i think it well def. get you in a dental school as long as u have either sci or non-sci over 3.33
how'd you kill the PAT? Did you use Kaplan's PAT?

what did you use for AA's?

When did you start using Topscore? 2-3 weeks prior ur test date?

I got the classroom course for Kaplan. I thought the classroom portion was not completely helpful, but the materials were great. I hit gen chem really hard - I took the subject tests on-line a couple of times each until I didn't miss anything. I did about the same thing for o-chem. For biology I tried doing the same thing but soon realized that the breadth of information was huge, so I decided to just wing it. On the biology section there were many questions that baffaled me - I don't know where I would have studied the information.

I studied hard with the Kaplan on-line resources for about two months and used topscore the week before the test. I only took the science portions and a QR section, but I didn't have as much time to study topscore as I had wanted. I wish I would've praticed QR just a little more.

As far as the PAT the biggest help was my drafting class in High School. The PAT on the actual DAT was easier than on any of the practice exams I took, but I had never done below a 24 on the PAT. I don't know, I guess the PAT just came easy to me.

Good job....crazy pat...how did you approach the TFE views? any suggestions??? Congrats and good luck

hey dude, thanks for the review.

I'm trying to zip thru this stuff from the destroyer and kaplan's material in the next 2 weeks and than simply relying on the Topscore and maybe achiever and formulate whatever i don't get right into my notes and prolly just read thru my notes again the last week before my test day
thank good luck on the applications 👍

Oh...i took an architeture course in HS, hopefully that would be a big pay off on the PATs

Hey, New MEx, any advice on how you approached the paper folding section? That's the only section im really having trouble with! Actually, im getting my butt whipped in that section!
