other than your sciences everything else is pretty good! People apply with much lower and get in all the time. I think it depends on you and what type of schools you're trying to get into cuz there's still plent of ppl still applying as can be seen on the predent forum.

good luck deciding on the retake though. I don't I would just cuz I woudn't want to be so late, I'm no expert but if I were you I'd just sumbit now.

side note- what did you use to study? what was the most effective?

I took the DAT yesterday and I'm a little worried about my scores:

PA: 21
QR: 25
RC: 23
Bio/GC/OC: 18/18/18
TS: 18
AA: 20

I'm pretty disappointed with my science scores and I'm worried I won't get accepted with these scores. My GPA is 3.45 and I have not sent in my completed applications yet so I'm already a late applicant. What should I do? Will I be able to retake the DAT in 3 months and still apply for Fall 08 matriculation? Please help! Thanks!!

Those are solid scores. Yeah, it would have been nice to have your science scores a little higher but you don't have any real weak area in these scores and you have a solid GPA. You are not late in getting your application, you just aren't early. I read that last year the dat at which 50% of the applications had been submitted to AADSAS was mid-August, so if you are able to get your application submitted in the next week or two you would be right around the average application date. Apply to 10 to 15 schools and I think you should get in somewhere. I say go with these scores and in the worst case scenerio you don't et in, you retake the DAT next spring/early summer and reapply.

I don't know I'd be happy with those scores.

For me personally, I'd probably retake, but the fact that you can do well in the non sciences is important. Those seem like the hardest to study and bring up scores in.

The sciences you can actually make your score improve.... RC and QR are a little trickier.

Otherwise, get your app in ASAP. It all depends if you have 1000+ dollars to burn and go for it this year.... its definitely doable though...
