...and got a 540 (~228) 😱
I don't see how this is possible. The only studying I've done for step 1 is 25% of QBank (50% correct), and I haven't been taught endocrine or reproductive path, pharm, or pathophys (we have that next quarter).

Is it possible to score well on the NBME forms by lucky guessing? I'd be happy with a 228 on the real thing, but now should I set my goal higher?

First year I was right in the middle, 50th percentile. This year I've worked really hard, maybe close to the top quarter but they won't tell us. Certainly not top of my class or anything...never honored anything, scored 450-520 on shelf exams (anatomy, phys, neuro, biochem).

that is amazing. many people study an entire month and fall short of that score. congrats.

I have ExamMaster & Qbank, but would love to be able to simulate the exam at least a couple times before the real thing. Thanks.
