sup guys, after a few weeks of craming while at work fulltime i managed to take the DAT today. I took a kaplan class, did all the online crap they had. I personally felt the kaplan stuff was much harder.

Here is how it went

I averaged 17 on the kaplan stuff and due to that i thought the DAT is killer so i kept postponing it, here are my scores

PAT - 18 - 66.8 percentile
QR - 16 - 50.5
RC - 21- 76.5
Biology - 21 - 93.5
GC - 23 - 93.5
OC - 22 - 91.8
Total Science - 22 - 96.6
Academic Average - 21 - 92.2

I didnt get a lunch break cause i thought 10min to run to the store is risky so i skipped lunch and then i developed a massive headache during the reading section [after getting a killer middle passage] and it only got worse during the math, hence my 16 [ is the 16 going to hurt me?].

The PAT on the DAT during the exam was killer. The angles all looked the same , the kaplan exam angles part are a joke, also the first key hole crap was also killer as with the rest if you review the DAT kaplan exams and review every question your set. If i have time over the summer i'll type up my notes / uplaod them for ppl to study them.

I dont know much about the test considering i have been out of school for 3 years are my scores good enough to get me into a school?

Also I've been doing neuroscience research for 3 years. i've had one journal publication in neuropharmacology and 4 abstracts published in different fields of research would that help me when applying and my gpa is 3.5 ?

let me know thx!

I took mine today too... 15 on QR and 17 on PAT... maybe it was just a bad day?

I got a 21 on QR in practice, and normally do well on PAT. I agree the angles all looked the exact same. I was very frustrated.

you do know that the software generates many different qeustions so its not the same test.

Congrats on the score. Did they let you use your calculator for QR? Just go ahead and apply to dental schools now. The earlier you apply, the more interviews you can get. I think that you should apply at the University of Minnesota since the school focusses on research.

Oh yeah. no kidding huh 🙄 . I was just trying to make humorous pass at both of us having lower QR/PAT scores. Lighten up.

your scores are absolutely fine! The average DAT at HARVARD is a 21!!
