I've spent the last two days chopping an over 5000 page manuscript down to 2000 words and I must say it's difficult but a probably really good thing for me. This helps me practice brevity. Wish me luck - if the end-product looks good, it's a clinical comment in a major journal!

5000 PAGE 😀 That sounds major to me - probably felt like 5000 pages, hmn?
It's always hard to downsize.
Good luck :luck:

I had to get one to 4k words; it is a great exercise to be able to be concise. Next time, I'm starting small though 🙂

Update - just submitted the paper to the journal! If successful, this will be my first major-journal publication in about five years, and my only first-authored, major-journal publication. Please cross fingers for me.
