Hello all. I would appreciate any suggestions and/or answers to the following: I just submitted my application yet after typing in my credit card info and pressing "continue", I got an error message. So I am assuming that the application did not get processed. Unfortunately, I just realized that I have to make a correction in my application, and it's not allowing me to since it said that I had already submitted it. Is there any way around this??

Sounds like you have submitted the application. If this is the case, there is unfortunately no way to make amendments to certain things (essays, activities, etc).

Check your balance owed to see if you have submitted - go to the screen where you have designated schools - it will either say you owe $0 or you owe some amount. If it says $0, you have submitted.

Thanks for your help Rxfudd. I can't help being anal, but all I had to do was remove an "s" from a verb in my Vision statement (I swear I re-read that essay so many times I don't know how I missed it). I spent the whole night tossing and turning...I feel like my application will be discarded by med schools due to that one grammatical error!

Don't worry...I did the same thing with my personal statement. I had already submitted my application last week and went to read it again this week. I found a little error that I can't believe I missed also! If only I wouldn't have reread my statement, I wouldn't be worrying about it. Everything will be fine though.

Actually ... you can edit your activities. Just not your essays

Good Luck 🙂

SF, thanks for the reassurance. I went back to an English prof (who also proofread my essays) and she was like one mistake is nothing to cry over. I was just flipping out...I'm just now soooooo glad that the amcas app is done and out of the way! 😀

Ooops I meant SC. There's a pattern of poor proofing here...

😎 😉
It always makes me feel better that someone else is in the same position I am. Good luck!
