Hi everyone, I was just wondering how many people are still staying at home with their parents while going to dental school and who lives on their own. If you live on your own is it hard to pay for both Dental school and an apartment? Thanx.

With FAFSA refund checks anything is possible 😀

I wish I was living with my parents, paying for school and rent is not a problem but keeping up with cleaning, cooking and the bills is a headache.

I live at home with my parents- I don't have to deal with landlords/rent, finding an apartment, cooking, keeping the place clean, etc. But I live a little further than everyone else...maybe 10 minutes more than everyone else who has an apartment closer to campus-so I was lucky that I live so close to the school I go to. Some of the negative points are I do have to get up a little earlier and get home later or travel a bit further to go to study groups, but that's no problem. Also, even though I am an adult....my parents still stay up waiting for me to come home even at 2AM and find my dad "watching tv"...so I do lose a bit of freedom. There are several others who live at home or bought a house in the town I live at-so I am not the only one who has to drive 15 minutes to campus commuter lot then bus in.

You have time to do that? How often?
