K2 overdose in CT

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Didn’t read the article, but what I saw today on the news was that they were thinking k2 was laced with fentanyl?

Since when does naloxone reverse cannabis or ketamine?

Never heard of K2 until today, but it was dropping civilians left and right.

I didn't read it either, but I know some places are giving the police naloxone to give and it wouldn't surprise me if they just use it knee jerk in cases of suspected overdose.

The same thing happened in Philadelphia a few weeks back. Free samples, psychosis, unknown causative agent. Let's hope this is over and it isn't passing throgh the northeastern drug corridor, because the latter will mean supply hits Boston next

Happened in Indianapolis a few months back, too. Didn’t make it to national news because it was so far from Yale...

This stuff is ******ed. They call it kush, and I’ve seen a lot of patients come through the ER on this stuff that are straight up dumb. They are in a psychosis. We just sedated them and metabolize to freedom

I wish I had never heard of this stuff. Alas, every ER and ICU doc is well aware. We’ve all intubated a half dozen and wanted to intubate another dozen of these folks.

I keep meaning to ask these patients after they stop freaking the fk out if they really enjoy the spice high. It seems like people use it as a weed substitute which I just cannot for the life of me understand
