If they were indeed sent out Friday, I should be getting it today since I'm in Oklahoma...
 
There was no letter in today's mail for me (I'm in New England).
 
Nada in New York either....
 
Wow... my mail doesn't come until like 3pm everyday. There hasn't even been the opportunity to know. Well here's to hoping that in Missouri the letter will be here!!!!
 
I hope they didn't fall behind their schedule, but if they sent them out Friday then I would think that people who live close by should have heard today. Waiting is so much worse when you don't know how long the wait will be...
 
I'd imagine if they haven't heard in KC (2.5 hours down the road) yet then they weren't sent out on Friday.
 
Exactly... which means we're back to having no idea when they'll arrive!

Well my mom has a friend whose son goes to K-State undergrad and she said for some reason it takes longer than usual for mail to arrive from Manhattan. I don't know why, but maybe they sent it through campus mail first and it is taking time to sort through! Who knows!
 
Does anyone know if we can call the admissions office to find out the decision? Or do we have to wait for snail mail?
 
I don't know why I was expecting otherwise...but nothing here in New Hampshire either. I stalked the mailman all day, for nothing.

Literally, I was stalking him. Was out for a walk with the pup and saw him come around the corner, and was waiting at the box by the time he reached my house. All that work for nothing!
 
Just wondering what everyone thought of K-state's facilities? I didn't get to see much on my tour.
 
yea...man. do you think because of those later interviews offered that letters won't be sent out until much later?
 
Ugh, my brain is melting with anxiousness.

We are expecting 8 inches of snow tonight, so I hope mail isn't delayed. >:|!!!
 
About the mail:

It takes 4-7 days for mail sent between Manhattan and my family in the DC area to arrive, even when the weather is perfect.

Sorry for your long wait--but I would assume that the letters really ARE in the mail. 🙂

I was impressed. The facilities looked new and had pretty nice technology use. I have only seen two other vet schools though, so it's a little hard to compare. I thought K-State's teaching hospital was way nicer than the one at my university's vet school...😛
 
This waiting is nearly as painful as when I was 11 and waiting for an owl with a letter from Hogwarts

AARRRRGH! So with all the snow in SW VA I guess I will have even longer to wait!:scared: VMRCVM put me on their wait list so I am really hoping for good news from K State 😍.
I guess I will at least wait until someone on SDN has gotten their letter before I call to check my status. Most schools will tell you over the phone once other students have gotten news...:xf:

haha no, that dot was cuz I posted in the wrong section. I wrote something that was meant for Dublin, not Kansas. no worries 😀

btw, I would def not be in hufflepuff. ravenclaw all the way
 
I just called admissions to check and they said they mailed them out yesterday, so I think we should get them in the next couple of days!
 
Yesterday? Man, the waiting is getting unbearable. I wish they had not told everyone they were going out last week. Oh well.
 
I just got notified (not by letter, it's a slightly complicated situation) with an offer for a position in the class of 2014!!!

I'm glad to know they were mailed out Yesterday. It makes me feel better. Like I don't need to freak out until Thursday instead of today. 🙂

I was waitlisted 🙁 I didn't find out by letter btw.
 
Thanks! I have an interview this Friday across the country, and since I would prefer Kansas to that other school I was planning on canceling the other interview if I was accepted (saving time, money, missed classes). I sent an email explaining the situation and asking if the letters were sent out yet, and they replied with an email saying that the decisions were sent out yesterday and I would receive my acceptance letter in a few days. They said it so casually (and without my asking) that I didn't believe it and called to confirm -and it turns out I really was accepted! :laugh:

Zeebra44, they said they take a lot of people off the waitlist -keep up hope, being an alternate means they think you're qualified and you still have a good chance!
 
dont worry zeebra, I'm pretty positive they go through a bunch of the waitlist... if you dont mind me asking, did you call them?
 
Thanks guys 😳 and congrats Willow! I actually e-mailed them because I'm going out of town, and I didn't want to miss the letter coming in the mail. I just explained that to Marcina and the Associate Dean wrote me back.
 
That's a bummer, if it left Monday, it should have been in Missouri by today. I'm sorry
 
Ha,that's ok, but I was expecting it since I am only 3 hours away, so I would think it will get here by tomorrow!
 
ah! No! I was hoping they would come today! It's completely killing me now that some people know!
 
I've been trying to get some HW done, but all I could think of is if I was getting the letter today...No luck for today. 🙁
 
I didn't get anything in the mail and I couldn't help it so I emailed the school. Miss Ritter said that letters went out Tuesday and that all she could tell me was that I have been offered a spot in the class of 2014!!! I didn't even have an excuse, I just asked if there was any way to find out before receiving the letter. Haha
 
Alternate 🙁

Please tell me they go through their entire waitlist and that all of you hated KSU and will be declining your spots...because it was my top choice.
 
ok ok i couldnt last any longer... im stuck at home with a stomach bug and am rechecking my email and sdn like every 5 mins so I just broke down and emailed her... we will see what happens
