Has anyone taken a KAPLAN course before finishing the prereqs convered in the course? Did it help? Or did you find yourself struggling through material that you were unfamiliar with (i.e. organic chemistry or biology)?

Thanks

I would HIGHLY recommend that you take at least one sememster of ochem prior to the test. There has been a lot of debate and talk about this subject. IMHO, I would take both semesters, but that's me. I was set up to take the DAT early in the year while I was taking organic 2 and I posponed it until I was done with the class. I did find this subject a bit challenging in the test. And I did find quite a bit of reactions that come from second semester, but you could learn it from Kaplan, I guess. Biology, I would HIGHLY recommend you taking both semesters as well. I believe this is THE most challenging (well, PAT first) of the science sections. And, Kaplan is just not sufficient. I understand how you just want to get this piece out of the way as soon as possible, but it is a challenging exam and you need all the knowledge you can get. If you don't have time to take the biology I would highly recommend that you grab a biology textbook like Campbells and start reading it, since this is what a lot of us used for biology 1 and 2. Good luck!
