Hello everyone,
I'm studying from the Kaplan Biology book and there is something wrong, I think it's mistake, or maybe I'm wrong, I need an explanation from you guys.
On the anterior pituitary section of Chapter 5 Endocrine system,
it says there are two sections of the anterior pituitary,
one is tropic hormones
and one is direct hormones
what I found is that Growth hormone is a direct hormone in this section,
while earlier in the chapter, they state that GHRH ( growth hormone releasing hormone) is tropic hormone released by hypothalamus, which stimulate the anterior pituitary to release growth hormone ?
The question is, Growth hormone is direct or must be stimulated by hormone from the hypothalamus ?
if any one would like me to post pictures from the book, let me know,
help me please to clear this confusion
